Oconee Today -- June 17

Today is the final day of early voting.

1. High temperatures will climb near triple digits today, a trend that will continue over the next week, according to the Weather Channel.  Expect mostly sunny skies.

2. If you wish to cast a ballot in the special House District 113 election but can't make it to the polls on Tuesday, you still have a chance to vote in advance from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the Board of Elections office.  Remember you must be registered and bring a proper form of identification with you.  On Election Day, voters will cast ballots at their 

3. Try a free yoga class this morning at Holy Yoga from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at 1020 Twelve Oaks Place in Watkinsville.  Please bring a small toy donation for Operation Christmas Child.

4. It's the final day to submit a design for the new Georgia license plate to be produced in 2012. The contest is run by the Department of Revenue. See more .

5. An opening reception will be held tonight at the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation for the new exhibit that showcases painter works.  The public is invited to attend the free event from 6 p.m. to 8 pm.
