Oconee Today -- June 12

There's a 30 percent chance of isolated thunderstorms this afternoon.

1. Mostly sunny skies are expected today with the high temperature around 95 degrees.  The National Weather Service predicts a 30 percent change of isolated thunderstorms for the area after 2 p.m.

2. Week three of National Safety Month focuses on teens driving safely. There are a number of resources available through the National Safety Council website for parents of teens, including a "How can I keep my teen driver safe?" webinar that will be available on Monday, July 13 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Visit the website for registration information.

3. Are you planning to take the kids to Zoo Atlanta this summer? Swing by the first and you can save on the price of admission. Just check out the Zoo Atlanta DVD.  After it is returned, the receipt may be surrendered within 7 days at Zoo Atlanta for two complimentary adult tickets and two children's tickets. You must have a valid library card to participate, and the pass may be redeemed by the cardholder only once per year.

4. It's your last chance to catch the Rose Theatre of Athens performance of Shakespeare's "" at 8 p.m. on Ashford Manor's lawn.
