1. There's a little break in the heat wave, as highs today are expected to be in the upper 80s to low 90s. Thunderstorms are likely, mainly in the afternoon and evening.

2. The hosts White Elephant Bingo this morning for around 10 a.m. for members.  Please bring gifts to put into the prize pool.

3. The final installment of the Harry Potter at midnight Friday, and Oconee County Library is celebrating today with Harry Potter Mania at 4 p.m. Kids ages 6-11 will enjoy a variety of activities and are encouraged to dress as their favorite characters. 

4.Zoo Atlanta offers a way to take your family to visit the animals at no cost by using the Zoo Atlanta Family Pass.  Visit and check out the corresponding DVD.  Once returned, the receipt may be surrendered within 7 days at Zoo Atlanta for 2 complimentary adult tickets and 2 children's tickets. You must have a valid library card to participate, and the pass may be redeemed by the cardholder only once per year.

5. Terrapin Brewery in Athens offers run at 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
