Spring sports registration, "The Journey" art exhibit, and the UGA observatory are a few of the things to know about in and around Oconee today.
Weather: Scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day are expected to bring between a quarter and half of an inch of new rainfall. Highs will be in the mid 60s, according to the National Weather Service, with gusty winds up to 30 mph.

- Today is the final day to register for spring sports and programs offered by the Oconee County Parks and Recreation Department. .
- If you haven't had a chance to see it yet, today is the last opportunity to view "The Journey," an exhibit in celebration of Black History Month, on display at the . The gallery is open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
- If the evening sky is clear, consider visiting UGA's Physics Building for an Observatory Open House. From 7:30-9 p.m., the public will have the opportunity to look through the observatory's 24-inch telescope for a chance to see the crescent moon, Jupiter and Venus.
