Our daily roundup of news and information all things Oconee includes a new part-time job listing and a raffle to benefit sheriff deputies.

1. Mostly sunny skies are forecasted for your Wednesday.  The weather channel predicts high temperatures in the low to mid 60s for Watkinsville.

A new part-time job opening has been posted on the website.  The county government is seeking a program supervisor in the athletic division of the Parks and Recreation Department.  A full job description and list of qualifications is available on the web page.  See for additional work opportunites.

3. is selling raffle tickets to raise money for several deputies to travel to Washington D.C. to serve as escorts for families of fallen officers. and the drawing will be on May 7.  Top prize is a Colt AR-15 and there are additional prizes as well.
