Weather: Expect plenty of sunshine today with highs in the low 90s.  There's a 20 percent chance of rain, mainly in the evening.

Top Things to Know About:

  • The American Red Cross Donor Center in the Clark Crossing Shopping Center in Athens collects blood donations from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
  • at the Georgia Square Mall hosts a free Storytime at 10:30 a.m. every Thursday. 
  • At 6:30 p.m. in the Watkinsville Community Center, the holds a meeting on the third Thursday of the month. The Oconee County Democrats also meet on the third Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Oconee County Government Annex.
  • resumes its weekly Spaghetti Dinner and music night.   A child's plate is $4 and adults eat for $7.  Dinner is served at 6 p.m. and music begins at 7 p.m. No reservations are required.
