Lola Found, Surgery Today in Athens

A thank-you to the Good Samaritan who found Lola and delivered her to the UGA ER.

It was a happy ending for a small Shih-Tzu named Lola who was reported missing and lost on Sunday, June 3. According to Lola's owner Kimberly McLendon the dog escaped out of their apartment on Sunday and got lost in the loop on the south Milledge exit in Athens.

An unidentified Good Samaritan found Lola and took her to the UGA ER where she was later located by her owner. The veterinarians treating Lola believe she was hit by a vehicle at a low speed. Lola is suffering from pelvic and tail fractures along with road rash. She is scheduled for surgery today at UGA for the pelvic fracture.

Her owner McLendon writes to Patch in an email, "We are going to do and pay whatever it takes to get Lola better and back to her spoiled self. If the person or persons who found her and took her to the ER read this...you saved my heart on Sunday, I cannot thank you enough."
