Christmas Tree Lights Trade-In Event

This year's program offers up to $5 in credit towards new energy efficient Christmas tree lights at the Home Depot.

If you, like many of us, have an assortment of twisted, non-working, pre-used Christmas tree lights, then stop by the on Epps Bridge Parkway November 3-13.

As part of their fourth annual Eco Options Christmas Light Trade-In event, you can bring your old working or non-working lights and receive a coupon for up to $5 off the purchase of energy efficient seasonal light-emitting diodes string lights - commonly known as LED lights.

According to a press release from Home Depot spokesman Craig Fishel, customers can receive:

  • $3 off coupon towards the purchase of Home Accents Holiday string lights
  • $4 off coupon towards the purchase of Martha Stewart Living or GE LED string lights
  • 5 off coupon towards the purchase of EcoSmart or Lightshow LED lights

Each customer can redeem up to five sets of old lights.

“LED Christmas lights continue to be the growing trend in Holiday décor,” Brad Whited, holiday décor merchant at The Home Depot., said in a released statement. “Since The Home Depot began selling LED Christmas lights in 2006, the technology has improved and customers’ interest in them continues to grow with sales increasing each of the past five years."
