University of North Georgia Working to Build Network of Partnerships
The university has launched an economic development effort involving business, education and community leaders.
The Oconee County campus of the University of North Georgia was a gathering place recently for business, education and community leaders, the Athens Banner-Herald reports.
The University of North Georgia, a consolidation of North Georgia College & State University and Gainesville State College, has initiated the North Georgia Regional Economic and Education Development Task Force focused on the economic future of the surrounding region.
The recent meeting, held Tuesday, July 2, was the final of three meetings, and university officials intend to share their findings in September.
