New Oconee Chamber Chairman: 'We are in Business, For Business'

Past Chairman Mack Guest passed the gavel to Jonathan King at the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce annual meeting and banquet on Jan. 24, 2013.

Piedmont Impressions' Jonathan King, the 2013 Chairman of the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce, gave the following speech during the annual meeting on Jan. 24 at the Civic Center.  King shared his comments with Patch.

It is such a privilege to be part of the Oconee Chamber of Commerce.

I am truly honored to serve as the chairman for 2013.

Business Development – with companies like Caterpillar and the new retail growth in the Epps Bridge area to promoting and developing the available parcels of prime real estate, we have in this county for new business interests.

Chamber renovation – with the much-needed upgrade to our facility to meet our growth needs and to project the professional appearance that is Oconee County.

Upgrades to the Chamber technology systems – giving us state of the art communication to our members as well as increasing the benefits that will be available for our members.

The Oconee 500 – the Chamber challenge to grow our membership to the next level and become 500 members strong.

As a board, we are committed to providing you with as many opportunities to network, grow and advance your business.
