Meet The Owners of a Livestock Supply Store

From boots to bridles to Bermuda hay, Bobby and Donna Griggs have everything you need just down the road in Bishop.

Horses, Cattle, Chickens or just about any other critter can find what they need at Bar G Horse and Cattle Supply.

Patch spoke with co-owner Bobby Griggs about the livestock supply store located at 1060 Astondale Road in Bishop. He and his wife, Donna, run the shop together.

Bobby: I worked in the same business for 8 years before coming here.

Patch: What is your favorite thing about your business?

Bobby:  People and animals.

Patch: What is the most challenging thing about running a business?

Bobby: Dealing with increased costs of goods, expenses, etc.

Patch: What are your long term goals for your business?

Bobby: To continually change the business to meet the needs of our customers.

Patch:  What advice would you give someone wanting to start a new business in Oconee County?

Bobby: Do some homework as to what the area can handle, demographics, etc.  Get help from the Small Business Development Center at UGA.
