Athens Area Humane Society Hosts Bark & Brew in Watkinsville

Bark & Brew will be a delightful afternoon of craft beer and cool canines! Bark & Brew is a FREE mini beer fest at the beautiful Ashford Manor Bed & Breakfast in Watkinsville on Sunday, August 26, 2012 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

Visitors can expect to sample over 30 craft beers and enjoy an acoustic jazz concert and an informal dog show with awesome Terrapin prizes (mixed breeds are welcomed to enter). The Athens Area Humane Society will be accepting donations during the event, and a $10 to $20 optional donation per person at the entrance is suggested. AAHS will also have bottled water and pizza for sale. You must reserve your spot(s) at the mini-fest through the EventBrite registration site: www.barkandbrew.eventbrite.com.

Please park in the Ashford Methodist Church parking lot or the lot behind the courthouse. You must be 21+ to sample the beer (bring photo ID), and children and dogs must be attended at all times. Dogs must be on leashes. Bring folding chairs to sit in if you’d like. Also, please bring along a water bowl for your dog to stay hydrated and plastic bags to pick up after your pooch.
The event will be outside, so dress in cool clothes and remember your hats and sunscreen.
