Bites Nearby: Zaxby's

Each week we'll tell you about a nearby restaurant that serves up delicious food.

Chicken history was made when childhood friends Zach McLeroy and Tony Townley decided to start , so customers could have the restaurant experience that they grew up lacking in their native Statesboro, Ga. They wanted to serve fresh and zesty chicken and wings worth bragging about in a setting full of personality.

For over 20 years, the Zaxby’s franchise has been doing just that. The Chicken Fingerz Plate, one of the restaurants most popular dishes, proves that Zaxby’s knows how to cook chicken right. Combine Chicken Fingerz with Zax Sauce, one of the restaurant’s secret weapons, and you have a meal to remember. For a full Zaxby’s experience, order the signature Wings and Things platter: wings, Chicken Fingerz, crinkle fries, Texas toast, celery, Ranch and Zax Sauce.

Zaxby’s is guest-focused, so they invite you to choose from their selection of 10 sauces to make your dining experience the best it can. Start your meal off with one of four crispy Zappetizers: onion rings, fried white cheddar bites, spicy fired mushrooms and tater chips. The three Zalads are fresh and crisp creations topped with your choice of chicken. Also on the menu are club sandwich baskets: and Wings and Fingerz. Choose from traditional or boneless wings and regular Fingerz or Buffalo Fingerz. Zaxby’s has delicious sides and extras, including cole slaw and the Nibbler, a chicken Fingerz in a bun. Zaxby's milkshakes and cookies are made the way they should be and are well worth trying.
