Artland Loft Gallery to Exhibit Athens' Artist's Salt Paintings

A sampling of Dana Jo Cooley's works will be on display from April 10 through the end of May.

Artland Loft Gallery, located above in downtown Watkinsville, will be hosting works from Dana Jo Cooley from April 10 through the end of May.

Cooley’s work spans a variety of media and formats, including miniature sculpture, multimedia assemblages, installation, salt paintings, and public art.

The opening reception for Cooley’s large salt paintings will be on Tuesday, April 10 from 6-9 p.m.

More about Dana Jo Cooley

Born in Whitwell, Tennessee, Cooley is an artist who currently works and resides in Athens. She exhibits throughout the Southeast and abroad, including the Savannah Gallery in Atlanta, Central Booking NYC in New York and the Lacoste School in France. Her "The Love Shack Bus Stop" is the winner of Athens’s Area Arts Council’s You, Me & The Bus Stop competition and was installed in Athens the winter of 2012. She is a presidential scholarship recipient and graduate of the Savannah College of Art & Design.
