Job description: Ashford Manor Enterprises, LLC.  Is currently seeking an Events Coordinator/Manager.  The individual hired for this position must be comfortable answering phones, scheduling appointments with clients, conducting one on one consultations with clients, layout design, coordinating with vendors.  
The Events Coordinator is responsible for all events booked at Ashford Manor Bed and Breakfast and Ashford On Main Event Facility. This person will work closely with the owners and office staff to assure a smooth and successful event.

This position does require significant interaction with clients, meeting planners and event organizers. All planners and organizers should have consistent communication skills. Applicants must have excellent organization and service skills. Applicants must have flexible schedule with ability to work nights and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:  Some events planning experience/background is required. Experience with MS Office Applications.  Must have a strong ability to multi-task and efficiently handle multiple events simultaneously.  This individual will often assist with the Bed and Breakfast daily operations; assist in the planning of the Ashford Manor Concerts on the Lawn series, weddings, receptions, and other special events.   Strong communication and organizational skills.  Must be willing to perform tasks outside those listed in the job description.  Must be able to lift 25 pounds easily and without accommodation.

Primary Job Duties:

  1. Events coordination – responsible for logistics of the event and communication between the bride/event guest and Ashford Supervisor; keep accurate and up to date notes and files.
  2. Design layouts for weddings and events
  3. Assist with consultations on events as needed. 
  4. Direct the setup and breakdown of events, as needed.
  5. Assist in hosting guests at events.
  6. Drafting confirmation letters/contracts.
  7. Communication with clients and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with QuickBooks Pro and Reservation Nexus.  Experience in planning both public and private, large and small scale events is a plus.  Experience with AutoCAD and/or Delphi and/or Google Sketch Up is a plus.  In lieu of specific experience, ability and willingness to quickly develop these skills during on the job training, or if necessary, on one’s own time.
