Pet Photo Calendar Contest Announcement

The Pet Photo Calendar Contest for the Athens Area Humane Society's 2014 calendar is back! Start looking for your favorite pet photos and submit them beginning July 1 to help the animals in our area!

The Athens Area Humane Society is pleased to announce its second annual Pet Photo Calendar Contest to benefit the animals at AAHS. The contest will raise money for the animals, but it's also to gather the best pet photos in our area to be used for our 2014 AAHS Calendar. From July 1 through July 31, 2013, anyone can enter their pet photos for $10 each, and the public will vote on their favorites from August 1 through August 16, 2013, for $1 per vote.

Last year, we raised over $7,000 from the photo submissions and votes for the Pet Photo Calendar Contest, and it was a big hit! This year, our goal is to raise at least $7,500 through photo entries and votes. We are also offering calendar sponsorships for businesses interested—our 2014 AAHS Calendar Sponsor Form is now posted online.
