Oconee County Annual Independence Day Celebration

Oconee County extends an open invitation to the local and surrounding communities to attend The Oconee County Annual Independence Day Celebration on July 4 from 10:00am to 2:00pm on the grounds of the Eagle Tavern. This patriotic event is sure to remind us of our heritage with a live performance by The James Hunter Band, activities for the entire family and good eats.

Activities will include a watermelon eating contest, inflatable moon walk, petting zoo and an old timey dress up. You may watch as metal takes shape with a live working blacksmith and/or learn how sweep someone off their feet with old fashion handmade brooms. Bring your appetite for a good time and great food. Offerings will include American classics, such as homemade peach ice cream from Thomas Orchard and hand spun cotton candy.
