A Royal Pet-fair

The Athens Area Humane Society is proud to present its first-ever multi-shelter pet adoption event: A Royal Pet-fair on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 11:00am to 4:00pm at Jittery Joe’s on Atlanta Highway (2950 Atlanta Hwy., Athens, GA 30606) sponsored by , Jordan Air: Quality Air and Heat, Cat and Dog Clinic, Pawtropolis and Bone-A-Fide Dog Training.

There will be both dogs and cats (and even a bunny or two) available for adoption, and there will also be The Jester’s Court fun activity area with games and sponsored booths to help AAHS celebrate its 23rd Anniversary of Incorporation.

The goal for A Royal Pet-fair is to gain exposure for the adoptable animals in our area and adopt at least 35 pets to new homes. The Athens Area Humane Society invited several local animal welfare organizations to participate in the event—Athens-Clarke County Animal Control, Circle of Friends Animal Society, Oconee County Animal Control, and Oconee Regional Humane Society will be in attendance with adoptable pets in addition to the Athens Area Humane Society. As local animal welfare organizations, our mission to lower euthanasia rates and to adopt homeless animals to new, loving homes has brought us together for a common cause as partners for this event.
