Disco Party To Support Dancing with the Athens Stars, Raise Money for Project Safe

Lessons, a dancing contest, and costume contest...all for a great cause! Dave Shearon, owner of Ashford Manor, is competing this year!

You know you want to break out those platform shoes and bellbottom jeans!

Dancing with the Athens Stars 2012 is happening soon, April 1 to be exact, and it will be the fifth year of competition.

This year the contest includes Watkinsville's own Dave Shearon, owner of  Ashford.  He and his partner in crime, Elissa Bacso, are the members of Team 6 in this year's competition.

Dave and Elissa are wasting no time with their fundraising efforts, and you can be a part of it by attending this Friday night's "I Will Survive" Disco Party!

Starting at 7:30 p.m. in the big back room at , you'll find full beverage and menu service, disco dance lessons, a dance contest, and a costume contest. There will also be a raffle for great prizes donated by local businesses and artists, with all proceeds going to Project Safe, a non-profit working to put an end to domestic violence.

There is a "$6 for Team Six" minimum donation requested to attend the party.
