Whiz Kids: Kelton and Kensley McConnell

Kelton and Kensley McConnell volunteered to help package 59,826 meals through Stop Hunger, which will go to a school in Uganda, Africa.

Accomplishments: Kelton and Kensley are siblings who participated in the Stop Hunger Now campaign through Athens First United Methodist Church. They helped package meals that were sent to The Humble School in Uganda, Africa.

In addition to having a huge heart, Kelton loves math and science. He plays the saxophone, speaks Spanish, plays tennis and loves roller coasters.Β

Besides being a philanthropist, Kensley loves art, math and reading (she can read in Spanish as well) and she participates in gymnastics.

Keys to awesomeness: Kelton is aware that "our habits affect others and our environment." He believes it's important to conserve water, save energy and to treat others (including animals) with respect.Β 

Kensley gets excited about new adventures. She is inquisitive and likes to find answers to her questions. She is academically focused and challenges herself to achieve beyond what is expected of her.
