Whiz Kid: Caroline Ferguson
This soccer and tennis athlete also was the first place finisher at this year's one mile Brave Fun Run.
Name: Caroline Ferguson
Age and School: 12,
Accomplishment: Caroline achieved a time of 6 minutes, 18 seconds for the one mile at Oconee County Middle School. As the racers rounded the corner, her best friends, aunt, sisters and mom began screaming "GO Caroline, GO!" She pulled ahead in a neck and neck race and crossed the finish line with an inspired burst of energy!

Key to Awesomeness: "Don't give up when you feel that you can't go on because, at the end of the race, you know you'll have a better feeling if you did your best," Caroline says. "I won the fastest runner award in my fifth grade class last year. I run because it makes me happy, and I plan on doing cross country and track at OCMS next year."
Caroline enjoys running with her dog, Bella, in the pecan field and around her house.
