Volunteers Needed for Chamber's Fall Festival on October 19th

There are plenty of activities for children, such as rock climbing wall, spider jump, pony rides, petting zoo, inflatable slides and train rides.

The Oconee Chamber needs more volunteers to help staff the fall festival scheduled for this Saturday. The festival runs from 9am until 5pm in downtown Watkinsville and features more than 200 booths , attracting crowds of 30,000.

The shifts each last one hour. Volunteers will stand by one of the road barricades located around the perimeter of the festival and will keep vehicle traffic from driving into the festival area.

The time slots needed are as follows:

Also needed is one more volunteer on Saturday morning, beginning at 5:30am and running until 9am, when the vendors are arriving and setting up their booths. That particular volunteers will let vendors know where to turn for parking. It’s an easy job involving no manual labor.

To volunteers, contact Julia Estess at the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce, via phone at (706) 769-7947 or via email.
