Special Freebies for Veterans on Veterans Day 2012

A number of restaurants with locations locally are offering free food to those who've served our country.

This Veterans Day, a number of local restaurants are once again giving away free meals to our nation's bravest.

We've compiled a list of places with local restaurants that offer specials for Veterans. While Veterans Day is officially on Sunday, November 11th it is being observed on Monday, November 12th. Each restaurant's participation may vary. Most require a form of military identification 

  • Applebee's - Free signature entree on Sunday, Nov. 11..
  • Arby's - Free Arby's Roast Beef Sandwich
  • Chili's - From 11am to 5pm on Nov. 11, veterans and active-duty military can choose from seven free meals.
  • Krispy Kreme On Nov. 11, those who have served or currently are serving receive a free donut. Proof of military service required or those in uniform.
  • Little Caesars Pizza - Get a free order of Crazy Bread with valid ID Sunday.
  • Longhorn Steakhouse - On Monday, get a free appetizer and drink.
  • Outback Steakhouse - Military personnel and veterans with ID will receive a free bloomin' onion and Coca-Cola Nov. 11 -12.
