A public hearing on the proposed 2013 fiscal year budget for Oconee County takes place this evening. See what else there is to know.

Weather: Thunderstorms are likely today, mainly in the afternoon. We'll see cloudy skies and a high temperature around 80 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Rain will continue into the evening and overnight with lows in the low 60s.

  • The Oconee County Board of Commissioners hold a public hearing on the proposed 2013 Fiscal Year Budget at 6:30 p.m. in the . Commissioners then meet in a regular session at 7 p.m. On the agenda is consideration of the Georgia Department of Transportation Contract Addendum for Acquisition of Right of Way for the Mars Hill project.
