  • Every Tuesday the of Oconee County meets at 7 a.m. in the Watkinsville Community Center for a continental breakfast and presentation. Today's guest speakers are Rep. Chuck Williams and political analyst Chuck Bullock to provide analysis of the 2012 Georgia Legislative Session.  Guests are welcome to attend at a cost of $5 per person.
  • Bishop Company is holding a at the site of the Epps Bridge Centre shopping mall on the Oconee Connector Extension at 10:30 a.m. 
  • In observance of National Police Memorial Day, the Oconee County Sheriff's Office is flying the American flag at half staff for 24 hours. Deputies are also wearing black mourning bands in honor of Deputy David Gilstrap and other law enforcement that have given their lives in the line of duty.  A group of deputies is also attending National Police Week in Washington, D.C.
  • The countdown to graduation has begun!  NOHS seniors will be honored starting at 6 p.m. in the school's auditorium for senior night.  OCHS seniors will be recognized from 7-10 p.m. at the
