Oconee Today -- March 30

A career fair for UGA students and alumni and a radiothon to raise money for Officer Christian are a few happenings going on today. See what else there is to know.

1. Prepare for another bout of showers and thunderstorms today.  Some of the showers may produce heavy rainfall, the Weather Channel predicts.  Between one half and three quarters of an inch of rain is forecasted.  Highs will be in the low 60s.

2. Cox Media Group in Athens will host a radiothon today from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. to raise money for family.  Stations will be broadcasting live from College Square taking donations.

3. Members of the Oconee County Senior Center may particate in a Sing-a-long at 11 a.m.  There is also a drawing class from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.

4. A Government and Non-Profit Career Fair for University of Georgia students and alumni takes place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Tate Center Grand Hall, 5th Floor.  Professional dress is recommended, and please bring resumes.

5. Teens are invited to the Un-birthday celebration this evening at the Oconee County Library.  The event is modeled after "Alice in Wonderland."  From 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. there will be food and lots of festivities for kids ages 11-18.
