Oconee Today -- March 25

"Perceptions," Middle School Madness, and Stargazing are a few of the events going on in and around Oconee today.

1. Sunny skies are in today's forecast with high temperatures in the mid to upper 60s, according to the Weather Channel.  Looking ahead for the weekend, there is a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms on Saturday and a 40 percent chance of rain showers on Sunday.  Highs both days will be in the low 70s.

2. Today is the final day to view Christy Green's exhibit Perceptions.  The paintings are on display in the gallery of the . 

3. The University of Georgia Diamond Dogs host LSU this weekend in a three-game SEC series.  Tonight's matchup begins at 7:30 p.m.  Saturday's game will be at 4 p.m. and on Sunday it will begin at 2 p.m. General admission is $5.

4. A fun night is planned for Oconee County middle school students at the Community Center in .  During Middle School Madness from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. there will be games, music, and other entertainment. Admission is $5.

5. Interested in taking stargazing to the next level? Consider going to the Observatory Open House, located on the Physics Building Roof of the University of Georgia.  It begins at 9 p.m.
