A summary of happenings in and around Oconee today.

1. More sunshine is in the forecast for today with high temperatures in the upper 60s, the Weather Channel predicts.

2. If you have an issue that you would like to present to , you have until today at noon to request to be on the agenda for the Mar. 9 monthly council meeting.

3. To celebrate "Read Across America Day," consider going to one of the Storytime hours at local libraries.  Storytime will be at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. and offers a Storytime at 10:30 a.m.  Children between 2 and 5 are invited to attend with their caregivers.

4. Two local baseball teams will be in action this afternoon. hosts Lincoln County at 5 p.m., and travels to Lumpkin for a 5:55 p.m. game.

5. A Patcher recently posted "." Check it out.  You, too, can create classified ads for free.  If you are having a yard sale, consider posting an announcement.  If your church is hosting a special event, share the details with your Oconee neighbors.
