A storytelling concert and performance of "Steel Magnolias" are a few of the things to know about in and around Oconee today.

Top things to know:

  • As part of the Summer Reading Performance Series, the Athens-Clarke County Library has planned a free Storytelling Concert at Clarke Central High School at 10:30 a.m.
  • hosts the After Hours for the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce from 5:15-7 p.m.
  • The Circle Ensemble Theatre Company's production of "Steel Magnolias" opens tonight at 8 p.m. at .  Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. 
  • Local families are needed to serve as host families for students between the ages of 15-18 through International Experience USA.
