Flamenco, a small business seminar and back yard Zoofari are a few of the things to know about in and around Oconee today.

Weather: Partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 90s are in the Weather Channel's forecast.  There's a 50 percent chance of afternoon scattered thunderstorms.

Top things to know:

  • A taste of Spain comes to the Oconee County Library this morning. Flamenco dancer and instructor Julie Galle Baggenstos will lead an interactive program for all ages.  starts at 10:30 a.m.
  • The SBDC Summer Lunch & Learn Series series continues with "." The seminar, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1180 E Broad Street in Athens, includes catered lunch.  Cost is $29.
  • Learn about the importance of the creatures that live right in your own backyard during at Bear Hollow Zoo. Among the many activities will be a guided bird walk.  The free progam takes place from 4 -7 p.m.
