Oconee Today ~ January 26

The Bark Park Ribbon Cutting is today at 4:00!

Weather: According to the National Weather Service, we'll have a 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 68. A chance of thunderstorms in the evening with a low around 55. The Chance of precipitation is 100% - with possible rainfall amounts of up to one inch.  

Top things to know:

  • Seniors can get in shape at the Oconee Senior Center at ! From 9:00 am until 10:00 am Seniors can “get their stretch on” during Senior Stretch – Free on  Tuesdays and Thursdays. Stay or come at 10:00 am for Gold Zumba! Led by certified instructor Amie Hansen, the classes are designed for seniors. Cost is $5.
  • Read to Rover at the at 3:00. Children in grades K-4 are invited to read to the dogs. It’s free, but you must register for a 15 minute session.
  • And speaking of the dogs, The Bark Park Ribbon Cutting and Grand opening at Oconee Veterans Park is today at 4:00 p.m.
