Gusty winds, cookies for law enforcement, and college basketball are a few of the things to know about in and around Oconee today.

Weather: Once again high temperatures are expected to be in the low 60s.  The National Weather Service predicts partly sunny skies and gusty winds.

Top things to know:

  • Support Rocky Branch Elementary tonight by chowing down on some yummy Zaxby's.  It's Spirit Night, and a percentage of sales from 5-8 p.m. will be donated to the school.
  • Teens are invited to show some love to local law enforcement by decorating heart-shaped cookies at the Oconee County Library.  The cookies will be gifted to the Watkinsville Police Department.  Kids ages 11-18 are welcome to attend "."
  • The UGA men's basketball team hosts Arkansas in an 8 p.m. game.  Go Dawgs!
