Bundle up in a warm jacket and head over to Oconee County High School to cheer on the basketball Warriors. And don't forget to thank the postman!
1. Cold rain continues today as the high temperature struggles to hit 40 degrees, according to the weather channel. Fortunately, a mostly sunny and slightly warmer Saturday and Sunday are within reach!
2. Today is Thank a Mailman Day! It is an opportunity to leave a special 'thank-you' in the mailbox for your mail carrier. You can also thank him in person at one of the Oconee area post offices.
3. Local basketball teams hit the courts this afternoon. It's Warriors against Warriors as hosts Walnut Grove. The JV boys' game will start at 4:15 p.m. Varsity action begins at 7 p.m.

4. In college sports, the UGA women's tennis team takes on Georgia Tech at5 p.m. at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex
5. Anxious for more snow? If so, you will probably have to head out of Oconee. Oddly enough, consider driving south. at Stone Mountain Park opens this weekend. Play in the snow and roast marshmallows! Tickets start at $27.
