Free blood pressure checks for seniors, spaghetti dinner at a local church, and a wildlife meeting are a few of the Oconee area happenings in today's roundup.

1.  Warm jackets are needed again today and it wouldn't hurt to carry an umbrella, according to forecasts.  Oconee County will see high temperatures approach the mid 40s.  Watch out for a chance of rain showers later in the day, the website advises. 

2. Athens Regional Medical Center will conduct free blood pressure checks for members of  beginning at 10:30 a.m.  

3.  promises food and fellowship at its weekly Spaghetti Dinner and Music night.   A child's plate is $4 and adults eat for $6.  Dinner is served at 6 p.m. and music begins at 7 p.m. No reservations are required.

4.  squad takes on Arkansas in east vs. west SEC action tonight at 7 p.m. in Stegeman Coliseum.  Youth tickets are $3 and adult tickets are $5. 

5. Lovers of the outdoors may enjoy the monthly meeting of the Oconee Rivers Audubon Society. Discussions center on wildlife and people of all ages are welcome to attend the free meeting at Sandy Creek Nature Center from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.
