Oconee Today -- Feb. 21

A varsity baseball game and a town meeting are among events taking place in Oconee today.

1. The Oconee County work week starts out with mostly cloudy skies and high temperatures in the low 70s.  Low temperatures this evening will be in the mid 50s, according to the weather channel.

2. Post offices and the stock market are closed today, along with most banks.  Want to know a little more about the Presidents Day holiday?  Check out this brief video from slate.com.

3. Help with tax form preparation is available for free at every Monday from 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.  Members of the AARP will assist on a first come first serve basis.  Assitance is open to adults of all ages.

4. The varsity baseball team hosts Clarke Central at 6 p.m.

5. The monthly meeting of Town Council will be this evening at 7:30 p.m. See the agenda in the attached pdf.
