1. Lilburn's native groundhog, General Beau Lee, seems to have made an accurate prediction this past Groundhog Day when he failed to see his shadow and forecast an early spring for Georgia.  High temperatures will again be in the low to mid 60s this afternoon with partly cloudy skies, according to the weather channel.

2. What a pleasent day to go for a stroll! That is what walking club will do from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.  There will also be a singalong at the senior center this morning.

3. 4. In sports news, the intra-county rivalry between and girls' soccer teams gets underway at 6 p.m.

5. Oconee County Parks and Recreation Department advises that, because of maintenance, the youth baseball and softball fields located at are closed through Feb. 18.
