Snow delays the start of Oconee County Schools by 2 hours.

UPDATE: Oconee County government is also running on a 2-hour delay, Emergency Management Agency Deputy Director Mark Melvin said.

1. Oconee County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay today thanks to less than half an inch of snow that fell overnight.  "Students riding buses should be prepared to be picked up 2 hours  after normal pick-up time," a statement on the school system's website said.  High temperatures are forecasted to hit the upper 40s this afternoon and melt away any ice from overnight, according to the weather channel.

4. Oconee County seniors will enjoy dinner and dancing away to Hands of Time at the "" this evening at the Civic Center.  RSVPs were needed by last Friday.
