Welcome, February!

Weather: The National Weather Service predicts a 40 percent chance of afternoon showers.  High temperatures will again be in the mid 60s with an overnight low around 50. Between a tenth and quarter of an inch of new rainfall is possible, according to the forecast.

Top things to know:

  • It's Black History Month, and each day we'll include a couple of tidbits of information in the Daily Dose, compliments of Yenoba.com.
  • On the first Wednesday of each month, holds a free supper and class entitled "Crossroads: Where Faith and Life Meet." It starts at 5:30 p.m.
  • Award-winning poet Todd Boss will present a reading of some of his poems at Cine in Athens beginning at 7 p.m. A UGA graduate student and local author will open the reading, according to a news release.  See more.
