Oconee Today -- Dec. 13

A technology surplus sale, holiday market and middle school band concert are a few of the things to know about in and around Oconee today.

Weather: Plenty of sunshine is in the National Weather Service's forecast for today. Plan on a high of 56 degrees.

Top things to know:

  • Desktop computers and televisions will be sold at the Oconee County School System Technology Surplus Sale.  It begins at 4 p.m. at Oconee County High School.
  • Big City Bread in Athens hosts a two-day holiday market today and tomorrow from 5-9 p.m.
  • Sketch away at the Georgia Museum's Drawing in the Galleries. From 5 p.m. until 8 p.m, visitors are invited to sketch on their own with pencils or colored pencils.
  • The Town and Gown Players present "Pippin" at 8 p.m. General admission is $18, senior tickets are $15 and student tickets (tonight only) are $10 each.
  • It's Spirit Night at Your Pie.  A percentage of sales will be donated to Oconee County Elementary and Oconee County Primary schools.
  • Malcom Bridge Middle School's band's winter concert is tonight.  It starts at 7 in the North Oconee High auditorium.
