Oconee Today -- April 4

A sunny, windy day; a rainy, stormy evening.

1. Monday will start off with sunny skies and the high temperature will reach into the low 80s.  The National Weather Service predicts high winds, with gusts of up to 25 mph.  This evening there is a chance of thunderstorms that could become severe, forecasts say.

2. Good Dirt offers a   for Oconee County students Monday through Friday of this week.  Tuition per day is $55 and includes materials.  Class runs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

3. The Keep Oconee County Beautiful Commission holds a meeting tonight at the Oconee Government Annex at 1291 Greensboro Highway.  It begins at 7 p.m.

4. The City of Bogart council meets tonight at 7 p.m.  It is Bogart's regular monthly meeting.

5. A Poetry Reading at 7 p.m. in the Lab Room at will feature Slovenian poet Aleš Šteger.  The event is sponsored by the University of Georgia's Verse and the Creative Writing Program.
