Mixes and More at Oconee County Animal Shelter

These three dogs are all available for adoption.

Jones is a Beagle/Jack Russell mix, unaltered male, approximately 6-7 years old. Jones may be a mature boy, but he certainly still has the spirit of a puppy! Jones is well behaved, knowing a few commands such as "sit" and "stay". Jones loves, loves, loves attention and will do anything for a scratch or two! Jones is looking for his forever home, so if you are interested in visiting with him- feel free to contact us!

This guy is Jr. He is a Terrier/Hound mix, approximately 1-2 years old. He was found on an on-ramp to a highway in our county early in the morning by a good Samaritan. Jr. was brought to the shelter in hopes that his family could be found, but now he is in the adoption program because no one came for him. Jr. is a funny and goofy guy- he loves to wag his whole body in hopes of wagging his tail, very cute! Jr. loves toys, he will fetch a ball and drop it for you all day long. Jr. would make a great companion, so please come down and see him!

Terrier mix! Terrier mix! This little baby is Spot. Spot was picked up near the shelter in rural Bishop, just wandering around this side of the county. We have found that Spot is a very good girl- she walks well on a leash and listens attentively to your commands. She knows how to sit for toys, and plays gently with them. Spot is looking for her forever home- somewhere she can relax and unwind, but also where she can have lots of new friends to play with! If you are interested in meeting this little baby, please feel free to contact our Adoption and Rescue Coordinator, Officer Berisko- email or phone: 706-769-3956.
