Bowen Craig delves further into a behind the scenes look at The Circle Ensemble Theatre's upcoming production of "Into the Woods" in part 4 of a six-part blog series.  He also leaves a tribute to the late Aralee Strange, who passed away this past weekend.

Lee Becker of Oconee County Observations previewed meetings of the Hard Labor Creek Management Board  and Oconee County Board of Commissioners.

The Young Female Farmers introduced themselves and their business, and told about their "non-profit organization that focuses on teaching sustainability, using all-natural products, and using what you've got to work smart not hard."

Norm Bentley returned with a review of the 2008 Alexander Valley Merlot and an edition of The Nankipooh Enquirer.

The Athens Area Humane Society highlighted the adoptable cat of the week, Stu, and the adoptable dog of the week, Doug, and also shared the heartbreaking story of Maddy, who's in need of a hospice foster family.  Meantime Paula Loniak offered some advice about tick and flea control.

Speaking of animals, Dac Crossley shared a post about the Texas Horned Toad, and, in case you missed it, he recently also wrote about chigger season.

Several bloggers also answered the call to share their thoughts about gardening.  Paula Loniak on Athens Patch opened the debate about landscaping vs. gardening, while Loganville's Jason Brooks' post "Mass Murder in My Backyard" took a different angle.
