1. Watkinsville-based Extra Special People will be hosting a community fair on June 28 at Cine in Athens to showcase the work of campers and sell baked goods as a fundraiser. 

2.  North Oconee High School student Morgan Kemmerlin has been selected as one of 90 high school juniors from across the United States to be part of Women in STEM High School Aerospace Scholars (WISH). 

3. Noah Austin Smith, 15, of Watkinsville has earned the highest advancement award the Boy Scouts of America offers to Scouts, the Eagle Scout Award. Read more about his accomplishments here.

4. Make plans to attend the Clover Glover Race series 4-H 4-K race at the Oconee County Extension Office on Saturday, July 6. Register by June 25. 

5. A new allergy-friendly and vegan bakery has opened in Athens area. Beth’s Bakery serves noshes that are dairy-free, egg-free, peanut-free, tree nut-free, and free of artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Read more about it on the Business Updates Board.
