Women of Ireland to perform at The Classic Center Theatre March 18

ATHENS, Ga. – Women of Ireland, the innovative and exciting full stage concert production showcasing the next generation of Ireland’s leading female performers, is coming to The Classic Center Theatre Tuesday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m.

For the first time, a stage show brings together all the most adorned elements associated with Irish and Celtic music, song and dance in one brand new super stage spectacle.

Women of Ireland features an all-female lineup of Irish step dancers comprising three long-term lead dancers from Riverdance and Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance, along with a number of other tantalizing female dancers who excel in other dance disciplines.

The show also features a very special guest male dancer – the four-time world champion and former lead dancer with Riverdance, Anthony Fallon.

Three supremely talented sisters from County Kerry, Ireland are responsible for providing enchanting vocal performances as part of the stage show. The siblings are best known for their close celestial harmonies.

The outstanding dance and vocal content of the show is amplified by the vast talent of the instrumentalists within the production.

Led by a fervent fiddler from Northern Ireland, the instrumental players have the ability to bring people to their feet without the need of reinforcement from dancers or vocalists. Indeed, the instrumental ensemble pieces provide many singular show-stopping moments within the show.

Women of Ireland is fifth in The Classic Center Theatre’s 2013-2014 Broadway Entertainment Series.
