Deadline to apply for The Classic Center Cultural Foundation performing arts scholarship program is March 7
Athens, GA – Applications for The Classic Center Cultural Foundation performing arts scholarship program for local high school students are due Friday, March 7 by 5 p.m.
The Classic Center Cultural Foundation is offering three separate $1,000 scholarships. There will be one awarded for vocal performance, one for musical instrument and one for performance art: drama/dance. The Foundation will also be awarding $500 to the schools of the winning students.
Any high school junior or senior from Athens-Clarke County or the surrounding counties is eligible (Barrow, Jackson, Madison, Oconee, Oglethorpe.) Previous Classic Center Cultural Foundation scholarship recipients are not eligible.
An audition is required and will be held Tuesday, April 22 at The Classic Center Theatre. Performing applicants should come prepared to audition on stage, with an audition that lasts no longer than four minutes. A piano and sound system will be provided.
The Classic Center Cultural Foundation’s mission is to support the youth in our community by helping to further their education in the arts. In addition to offering a performing arts scholarship, the Foundation also offers a culinary arts scholarship.
