Monday, December 2nd
Everyone will love seeing Atlanta magician Arthur Atsma at the Oconee County Public Library at 7pm. Besides being a magician, Atsma is a sleight of hand artist, musician and entertainer extraordinaire. Check him out by clicking here.

While you're at the library, why not register to win your very own, homemade gingerbread house? Enter to win a one-of-a-kind gingerbread house made by Oconee County Librarian Jackie Elsner.The drawing for the winner will take place at Storytime on Dec. 18.You don't have to be present to win. The cost is $1 per ticket or $5 for 6 tickets.

Tuesday, December 3rd
Come to the Oconee County Public Library for storytime at 10am. The fun-filled, hour-long event is meant for children 2 to 5 and their caregivers. Be ready to sing, clap, dance and have a little fun. 

At 10m, the Northeast Health District’s Specialty Care Clinic (Ryan White HIV 
clinic) is partnering with AIDS Athens and the Athens Neighborhood Health Center to offer free HIV testing in recognition of World AIDS Day from December 
2 through December 5, 2013. The testing will be anonymous and pain-free!

The Oconee County Board of Commissioners meets at 7pm in the Courthouse's Board of Commissioners Chambers. Among the topics they will discuss is building a new courthouse, as judicial officials have requested.

Thursday, December 5
The school system's technology surplus sale will be held Thursday, December 5, in the media center of North Oconee High School. Sale hours will be 4:00  – 5:30 p.m. This year there will be no sales after the sale date.

The Athens Choral Society presents "Gloria! Christmas for Choir and Brass" at 8pm in the Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall of the Performing Arts Center on the UGA campus. The 8pm event is free and open to the public.
