Have you always wanted to know about your family history? Are you interested in genealogy, but don't know where to start? The Oconee Library has an event for you! We invite you to our annual lock-in to learn the basics of genealogy research. We will have free classes, materials, volunteers to help you, and refreshments! The lock-in begins at 6:00 PM when the library closes, so please arrive no later than 5:45 PM. You don't have to stay until 10:00 PM. Registration is required. Please call the library at (706) 769-3950 or sign-up at the library.

The Oconee County Library offers a wide-variety of literary selections, audio-video items, classes and activities for Oconee residents and visitors. There's something available for every age from children's puppet shows, reading parties and hands-on projects, to young adult activities such as art projects, parties and movie showings.
