Team Captains and Team Members are the "foot-soldiers" in the fight against cancer. Anyone who shares a passion and commitment to raise money for Relay For Life can form or join a team. Fund-raising efforts are culminated and celebrated at the actual Relay For Life event.
Team Captains lead their team by representing them at monthly team captain meetings. Team Captains are the liaisons between the event committee and their team. Team Captains organize and delegate the team's fund-raising events throughout the year as well as the team's participation in activities throughout the night of the event. A team can be made up of friends, families, coworkers, church members, basically anyone you know that wants to fight back against cancer.
Please support our efforts by making a donation, by starting a Relay For Life team or becoming a corporate sponsor of the event. Together, we have the power to help create a world where cancer can no longer claim another year of anyone’s life.

The Athens YMCA is an athletic and fitness center that serves individuals of all ages in the Athens community. The center offers cardio and weight machines, a women-only fitness room, fitness classes, indoor basketball courts, outdoor athletic fields, indoor and outdoor pools, racquetball courts, an outdoor track, outdoor trails, a roller rink and a children's playground. Various programs and events are held at the YMCA throughout the year.
