At least four GOP candidates are attending our meeting to describe what they want to do for Oconee County in the future in a decidedly non-forum, informal, intimate gathering of voters around a big table with portraits of President Barack Obama and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack in the USDA conference room in the rear left portion of the Government Annex building. Board of Commissioners chair Melvin Davis, Sheriff Scott Berry, Tammy Gilland, and Mark Saxon will briefly address the gathering and answer a few questions afterward.

The Oconee County Adult Learning Center is part of Athens Tech. Services include classes to complete GEDs and also ESL classes. The Learning Center is located at the Oconee Government Annex on Greensboro Highway.
