As part of the 9-11 Day of Service and Remembrance, Oconee County Fire Department Station 8 (Barber Creek) needs help with a beautification project that includes the following:
- Refreshing pine straw
- Building rock border around the 9/11 memorial and flagpole
- Trimming bushes and plants
- Refreshing paint on road, mailbox, etc.

More About Oconee County Fire Dept
The Oconee County Fire Department, which also acts as the Oconee County Government Annex, is the governing body for all other volunteer fire and emergency services locations in Oconee County. The fire department is also responsible for recruitment, training, fire code inspections and storing ISO (Insurance Services Organization) documents, providing safety classes for local schools and working with other government agencies during investigations.
